Important: By downloading, installing, or using CleanSpace, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before using the app.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the CleanSpace mobile application ("App"), developed by Lyomann Designs ("we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using CleanSpace, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
CleanSpace is a storage management application for iOS devices that helps users:
- Identify and remove duplicate photos and videos
- Find and delete large files and screenshots
- Compress photos and videos to save storage space (Pro feature)
- Analyze storage usage and track savings
- Manage their photo library efficiently
The App operates primarily on your local device with optional cloud sync features.
3. User Responsibilities
3.1 Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use CleanSpace. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
3.2 Account Security
If you enable cloud sync or subscription features, you are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of your Apple ID
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use
3.3 Proper Use
You agree to use CleanSpace only for lawful purposes. You will NOT:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Attempt to hack, disable, or interfere with the App's operation
- Use the App to infringe on others' intellectual property rights
- Distribute viruses or harmful code through the App
- Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws
3.4 Backup Responsibility
IMPORTANT: Before deleting any photos or videos, we strongly recommend creating a backup. CleanSpace provides tools to help you free up space, but YOU are solely responsible for ensuring important files are backed up before deletion. Deleted files may be unrecoverable.
4. Subscription Terms
4.1 Free and Pro Tiers
CleanSpace offers two tiers:
- Free Tier: Limited scans (3 per month) and duplicate cleanup (50 photos per month)
- Pro Tier: Unlimited scans, cleanup, compression, background scanning, and cloud sync
4.2 Subscription Purchase
Pro subscriptions are purchased through Apple's App Store as auto-renewable subscriptions. Available options:
- Monthly Subscription: Automatically renews every month
- Annual Subscription: Automatically renews every year
4.3 Payment and Billing
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings
- Pricing may vary by region based on Apple's App Store pricing tiers
4.4 Cancellation
To cancel your subscription:
- Open Settings on your iPhone
- Tap your name → Subscriptions
- Select CleanSpace Pro
- Tap "Cancel Subscription"
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds for partial periods.
4.5 Free Trial (If Offered)
If we offer a free trial:
- The trial period will be specified at the time of sign-up
- You may cancel before the trial ends to avoid being charged
- If you don't cancel, you'll be automatically charged when the trial ends
- Free trials are available only once per Apple ID
4.6 Refund Policy
All purchases are processed through Apple's App Store. Refund requests must be submitted to Apple:
We do not have the ability to issue refunds directly. Apple's refund policies apply.
4.7 Price Changes
We reserve the right to modify subscription prices. Price changes will:
- Not affect current subscribers until renewal
- Be communicated in advance
- Allow you to cancel before the price change takes effect
5. Intellectual Property
5.1 Our Rights
CleanSpace and all related trademarks, logos, and content are owned by Lyomann Designs. All rights reserved.
The App's source code, design, graphics, and functionality are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
5.2 Your Content
You retain all rights to your photos and videos. We claim no ownership over your content.
By enabling cloud sync, you grant us a limited license to store metadata (not actual photos) on our servers solely for the purpose of providing sync functionality.
5.3 License to Use
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use CleanSpace for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.
6. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability
6.1 No Warranty
CLEANSPACE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES. We make no guarantees that:
- The App will be error-free or uninterrupted
- Defects will be corrected
- The App will be compatible with future iOS versions
- Your device or data will not be damaged
6.2 Data Loss
IMPORTANT: We are not responsible for:
- Loss of photos or videos deleted through the App (whether intentional or accidental)
- Data corruption or loss due to app errors, device issues, or user error
- Failure of cloud sync features
- Inability to recover deleted files
Always maintain backups of important files before using CleanSpace.
6.3 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Our total liability for any claims shall not exceed the amount you paid for Pro subscription in the past 12 months (or $50, whichever is less)
- We are not liable for damages caused by your failure to back up data
6.4 Third-Party Services
CleanSpace integrates with third-party services (Apple App Store, RevenueCat, Supabase). We are not responsible for:
- Availability or performance of third-party services
- Third-party terms, policies, or practices
- Payment processing issues
7. Privacy and Data
Your use of CleanSpace is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
Key points:
- All photo analysis happens locally on your device
- Your actual photos never leave your device (unless you enable cloud sync)
- Cloud sync is optional and disabled by default
- We do not sell your data to third parties
8. Updates and Changes
8.1 App Updates
We may release updates to improve CleanSpace, fix bugs, or add features. Updates may:
- Be required to continue using the App
- Change or remove features
- Require newer iOS versions
8.2 Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
Significant changes will be communicated through:
- In-app notifications
- Email (if provided)
- Updated "Last Updated" date on this page
9. Termination
9.1 By You
You may stop using CleanSpace at any time by:
- Deleting the App from your device
- Canceling your Pro subscription (if applicable)
9.2 By Us
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to CleanSpace if:
- You violate these Terms
- You engage in fraudulent activity
- Your account is used for illegal purposes
- We discontinue the App (with reasonable notice)
9.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination:
- Your license to use CleanSpace ends immediately
- Local data remains on your device until you delete the app
- Cloud sync data (if enabled) will be deleted within 30 days
- Active subscriptions will remain until the current period ends
10. Governing Law and Disputes
10.1 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Illinois, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
10.2 Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute:

- If informal resolution fails, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration (where permitted by law)
- You waive the right to participate in class action lawsuits
10.3 Apple Requirements
As an iOS app, you acknowledge that:
- Apple is not a party to these Terms
- Apple has no obligation to provide support for CleanSpace
- Apple is not responsible for any claims relating to the App
- Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms
11. Miscellaneous
11.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Lyomann Designs regarding CleanSpace.
11.2 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force.
11.3 No Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
11.4 Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.
11.5 Export Compliance
You agree to comply with all applicable export and import laws when using CleanSpace.
By using CleanSpace, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
